Choosing your structure

Most founders in Mumbai pick one of these:

Documents required

  • PAN and Aadhaar for each director and shareholder
  • One photo ID and one address proof per person
  • A passport size photograph per person

  • A rent agreement or a no objection certificate if the office is rented

The online filing flow with the MCA

  1. Apply for Digital Signature Certificates (DSC) for the directors.
  2. Reserve the company name through the MCA after checking availability.
  3. File the SPICe+ form (INC 32) with the eMoA and eAoA. The DIN for directors is allotted inside SPICe+.
  4. File AGILE PRO S in the same flow for GST, EPFO, ESIC and a bank account application where applicable.
  5. Receive the Certificate of Incorporation, along with PAN and TAN, once the MCA approves.

The company is registered with your Mumbai office address, often in areas like Andheri, Bandra Kurla Complex, Lower Parel or Powai.

How long it takes

Most companies in Mumbai are registered in 7 to 10 working days once the documents are ready, subject to MCA approval. Delays usually come from a name that is already taken, incomplete documents, or slow signing of the DSC by directors.
